Time to Talk Befriending

Time to Talk Befriending is a charity which focuses on connecting people aged 65+ with volunteers for friendship and company, their aim is to reduce feelings of loneliness. They are one of my longest standing clients. I have been their sole designer since the early days of the charity – firstly re-designing their newsletter in 2015, they then approached me to rebrand the charity in 2017 and more recently I took them through a brand refresh in 2021.

It has been an incredibly rewarding process taking the charity’s visual identity all the way from its birth through to today. It’s enabled me to grow and develop the brand as part of the charity’s evolution over more than a decade. Over the pandemic Time to Talk Befriending significantly increased the resources it sent out to its scheme members who needed support more than ever – designing this significant body of literature to help inform and support in a warm, clear, approachable manner has been so satisfying.

My work for Time to Talk Befriending is varied: in 2024 designing key elements for the charity’s 10th Anniversary celebrations, a newsletter 3 times a year, reports, regular design of social media posts, more recently coordinating several exhibitions of photographs of befriending matches. I also handle the print management for all design projects. The Time to Talk Befriending website is built by Design Kind with whom I worked closely on how to best showcase the branding through their brilliant design.
