Fran Hamilton, Occupational Therapist, Consultant & Trainer, approached me to create a brand identity to give her work – enabling wellbeing at all stages of dementia and later life – a cohesive, approachable and professional look. The design needed to show collaboration, the building of strong relationships and appeal to three key groups: individuals living with dementia or age-related changes, families of those living with dementia and organisations: care providers and staff.
The simple logotype is supported by a graphic device that uses a depiction of neural pathways pulled into a circular formation. It suggests organic forms – plants, flowers, the sun – showing how Fran helps her clients grow and thrive, giving the branding a feeling of positivity, happiness and optimism. These ‘flowers’ could also depict her various different audiences, and the lines between them showing the links and connections Fran’s work makes.
