As part of my work for Time to Talk Befriending I designed and illustrated a book of poems by one of their scheme members Helen Mason. The charity support and encourage their scheme members to tell their stories, to express themselves creatively.
I wanted Helen’s poems to be typeset carefully, with a simple clarity, to give them the attention they deserved. Alongside the poems I created illustrations that used pencil drawings, combined with watercolour paintings, pulling them together digitally into layered illustrations.
