I started attending portrait classes in 2022 in a bid to dedicate some proper time to my drawing & to move away from the home-working computer screen. The classes were so inspirational and reingnited my love of working from life, taught by the brilliant Debbie Hinks.
The process is what I love about drawing someone’s portrait: the looking, the decision making, the corrections, the starting again, striving for that one mark that will suddenly give a better likeness. Challenging but wonderful.
